Gabriel Lauzat – 2018

Our Gabriel Lauzat wine is our Saint-Émilion grand cru which embodies a challenge for our family. Only exceptional grapes from the most remarkable plots are rigorously selected after being harvested at night. The vinification is carried out in small containers and carried out without sulphites.

Description

Gabriel Lauzat 2018 is a wine vinified and aged without sulfur. This iconic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from our estate is dense, juicy, full-bodied with notes of nuts, good concentration and a beautiful intensity of fruit.

This wine, in conversion to Organic Farming, is vinified without sulphites by the Tribaudeau Family. The impact on the natural ecosystem is limited during the production of Gabriel Lauzat. Grapes grown without synthetic pesticides are harvested and sorted by hand, infused in small containers.

Dégustation : •Nose: persistent, with notes of blackberries and blueberries.

Mouth: full-bodied with notes of figs and plums. The tannins are powerful and silky with a superb wine/barrel balance.

Grape varieties: 75% Merlot – 25% Cabernet Franc. The vinification in small containers reflects the plot and the 14-month aging carried out in new barrels.

Food pairing: grilled lamb chops with rosemary.

Our expertise:

Gabriel lauzat is an organic Saint-Émilion sulfur-free wine. We use no synthetic pesticides in our vineyards. The grapes were harvested by hand. Then, once harvested, we isolated each parcel in vats, taking into account its unique specificities such as grape variety, soil, exposure to the sun and age of the vines. This meticulous care enables us to preserve the identity of each terroir, fully expressing the diversity and richness of the estate.

Commitment to the environment :

Moreover, we harvest, vinify and age Château Mauvinon without sulfur. This is because we are a family of winegrowers who want to make a difference. Our commitment isn’t just to create organic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wine without sulfur. It’s also, and above all, to do no harm to the natural ecosystem. We are exacting in our choice of cultivation methods (natural grassing and sowing, animal traction, biodynamics). Our planet deserves our commitment.

Local production and quality:

Wooden cases, labels, bottles, capsules and all Château Mauvinon production are “made in France”. Château Mauvinon is also available in the 2017 vintage and in magnum for the 2016.
