Château Mauvinon 2018 is the emblematic wine of our estate. It is harvested, vinified and aged without sulfites at Château Mauvinon.

 

The 2018 Château Mauvinon has a persistent nose, with notes of black cherry and morello cherries dominating. On the palate, this wine is complex and fleshy. The tannins are both firm and silky, with good length.

Frequently asked questions

Ageing depends on the vintage and the cuvée.
In general, our red wines can be kept for between 5 and 15 years in good cellar conditions.
Our Alba White, our sparkling wine and our Orange wine can be kept for 5 years.
The Familia White, Low Alcool and Rosé can be kept for 2 years.

We recommend decanting our young wines to allow them to open up fully. Older vintages can be served directly after opening.

The serving temperature is between 16 and 18°C to bring out all the aromatic nuances of our red wines.
Our white wines and rosé can be served at 4°C.
Our sparkling wine and our Low Alcool can be served at 9°C.

Yes, Château Mauvinon is certified organic and biodynamic, with a strong commitment to biodiversity and sustainable viticulture.

The typical blend of our wines is Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and sometimes a hint of Malbec, depending on the vintage. Our white wines are made from Sauvignon Blanc.

Our wines can be enjoyed young after aeration, but gain in complexity after a few years of cellaring. Our sulphite-free vinification ensures that our wines are drinkable from the very first years.

Once opened, store the bottle in the refrigerator with a suitable stopper, and consume within 2 to 3 days.

We recommend that bottles are stored lying down to keep the cork moist and ensure a good seal.

Yes, like all fine wines, it is sensitive to high temperatures. We suspend shipments when temperatures peak.
