Description
This unique white wine produced in Bordeaux, alba refers to the freshness of a dawn. Harvest at the first light of sun, like that the grapes can keep their freshness during the wine making process and that allow to keep the flavor during the aging process. During the fermentation, the wine is transferred to barrels of french oak, and aged for 6 months. That the contact with the sediment in the barrels helps alba to gain its fineness ans its complexity.
Alba is an all sauvignon , the 2019 Château Mauvinon Alba Blanc reveals a light gold, green-tinged hue as well as a vibrant, racy nose crushed citrus, lemon zest, melon, and honeyed toast.
It starts out racy and lively, yet brings surprising richness and ripeness on the palate, with medium-bodied richness, a round, mouth-filing texture, good balance, and a great finish.
It’s geared for the dinner table, Alba need to be served between 10° and 12° and paired with langoustine, scallops and goat cheese.
The wood cases, the labels, the bottles, the cap, and the entire Mauvinon production are Made in France.
The first vintage produced is the 2018 but you have other vintage, you need to ask for them.
