It was in 1962 that Claude Tribaudeau acquired Château Mauvinon and created the iconic label for the two unicorns. His love of wine was given to him by Gabriel Lauzat his grandfather and he passed on his passion to his sons. For 20 years, he presided over the union of producers of Saint-Emilion, the first girondine cooperative and thus participated in the influence of the Saint-Emilion appellation. When they took over the property in 1990, Philippe and Brigitte Tribaudeau decided to develop and market their own wine. In love with the family property Philippe, a lawyer, resigned from the Bar de Bordeaux in 1995 in order to devote herself exclusively to the "Château Mauvinon", Brigitte graduated from Molecular Biology brought her her skills and enthusiasm. Today there is no doubt that Mauvinon will endure, their children also passionate about enology work alongside them.
"I immediately liked this beautiful girondine house that dominates the vineyards, I put all my heart to learn the hard work of viticulator. Passion that I like to share with our customers. It is good to taste a glass of Mauvinon in the shade of the chestnut trees."
