Preamble
The general terms and conditions of sale described below detail the rights and obligations of SCEA CHÂTEAU MAUVINON and its customers in connection with the sale of wines to consumers on the www.chateaumauvinon.com website.
They apply, without restriction or reservation, to all sales concluded by SCEA Château Mauvinon with its customers on its Internet site. In particular, they specify the conditions of order, payment, delivery and management of any returns of products ordered by customers.
The www.chateaumauvinon.com website is owned and managed by SCEA Château Mauvinon, whose registered office is at 217, Mauvinon, 33330 Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens.
The customer is obliged to read the present general terms and conditions of sale before placing an order. The customer must refer to the description of each product in order to know its properties and essential particularities. Product offers are subject to availability, as specified when the order is placed. These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions, in particular those applicable to in-store sales or sales via other distribution and marketing channels.
The customer declares that he/she has read and accepted these terms and conditions of sale by checking the appropriate box before proceeding with the online ordering procedure. Validation of the order by the customer at the end of the online ordering process confirms the customer’s acceptance, without restriction or reservation, of these terms and conditions of sale.
Château Mauvinon reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions of sale at any time, the last modification dated November 13, 2020.
The sale of alcohol to minors is prohibited.
The following terms, as used in these Conditions, whether singular or plural, shall have the following meanings:
The term “Wine” refers to all wines sold by Château Mauvinon,
The term “Product(s)” refers to all wines and accessories sold by Château Mauvinon,
The term “Order” means any order for Products placed by the Buyer, once accepted by Château Mauvinon, in accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.
By virtue of article L111.1 of the French Consumer Code, the information contained in the product data sheets enables both Private Individuals and Professional Customers to obtain the essential characteristics of a Product before placing an Order.

Château Mauvinon is committed to respecting an average delay of 3 days to honor your order, but this does not constitute a strict deadline and Château Mauvinon cannot be held responsible in the event of late delivery or stock shortage. Château Mauvinon declines all responsibility in the event of non-performance of the contract due to force majeure (strike, flood, fire, etc.).
Photos illustrating products on this site are non-contractual.
The sales prices indicated on the site are in euros, all taxes included.
The sale prices of products may be modified by Château Mauvinon at any time and the price guaranteed to the purchaser is the one present on the Site at the time the order is registered (except for obvious typographical errors).
The sale will only be considered definitive after Château Mauvinon has sent the buyer confirmation of the order and payment has been received. Château Mauvinon reserves the right to refuse an order for any reason whatsoever and will inform the buyer accordingly.
Deliveries are made in mainland France, and within the Schengen area for Europe.
Within these areas, shipping costs are calculated by the bottle and included in the sale price. There are no additional charges. For larger orders, over 36 bottles, please contact us for a shipping quote.
At the Customer’s request, we can deliver the order to a country outside the European Union, in which case the Customer is the importer of the Product(s) concerned.
Orders invoiced and delivered outside the European Union will be invoiced exclusive of VAT.
Customs duties, local taxes, import duties or state taxes may be payable. These duties and sums are not the responsibility of Château Mauvinon. They are to be paid by the Customer and are the Customer’s sole responsibility, both in terms of declarations and payments to the competent authorities/organizations in the Customer’s country. SCEA Château Mauvinon recommends that you contact the relevant authorities for further information.
The buyer guarantees Château Mauvinon that he/she has the necessary authorizations to use the method of payment that he/she has chosen, when registering the order form.
The buyer can then pay for his order by :
Credit cards. We accept the following credit cards: Carte Bleue, Visa, Mastercard, Bancontact, American Express, MultiBanco. To ensure the security of payment by credit card, customers who choose this method of payment must provide the following banking information: card number, date of validity and visual cryptogram (CVV) on the back of the card. Your credit card will be debited when you place your order.
By bank transfer to follow up an order placed on the site. Only bank transfers denominated in euros and drawn on a European bank will be accepted.
Your order will be processed once our bank has credited your payment to our account. Château Mauvinon may request a photocopy of the purchaser’s identity document, or refuse payment. Any bank transfer not received within 15 days of placing an order on the site will result in the cancellation of the current order.
Items sold by Château Mauvinon are new and deemed to be free of defects.
However, within a period of seven working days from delivery of the order, the buyer has the right to return, at his or her own expense, for exchange or reimbursement, any products that do not suit him or her, in accordance with ARTICLE L 121-16 of the French Consumer Code. To do this, the buyer must contact Château Mauvinon’s customer service department, which will provide him/her with a return number and the address to use to return the products. For accessories, only products returned to Château Mauvinon in perfect condition for resale, in their original state (packaging, accessories, etc.), duly sealed, and accompanied by the return number will be taken into account.
Château Mauvinon does not accept packages sent postage due, which will be returned to the sender. All risks related to the return of the product are the responsibility of the buyer.
The company CHÂTEAU MAUVINON is subject to the obligation to protect the personal data of its customers and website users in full compliance with the European regulation RGPD, the European Data Protection Regulation, which came into force on May 25, 2018. This regulation is based on the following 4 principles: consent, individual rights, transparency and responsibility.

All clauses contained in these general terms of sale, as well as all purchase and sale transactions referred to therein, will be subject to French law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation, execution or breach of the contract concluded between Château Mauvinon and the buyer, even in the event of a plurality of defendants, shall, failing amicable agreement, be the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Libourne.
Users of the Site are aware that the technical hazards inherent to the Internet network do not allow Château Mauvinon to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of its e-shop website and associated services. Château Mauvinon will not be held responsible for the unavailability or malfunctions of its site, especially in case of breakdown, maintenance or update. Similarly, Château Mauvinon cannot guarantee the use of the online service on all browsers, computer equipment and software configurations.
Château Mauvinon cannot be held responsible for the non-execution of the contract in case of stock or unavailability of the product due to a case of force majeure, of disruption or total or partial strike, in particular postal services and means of transport and/or communications.
Château Mauvinon cannot be held responsible for any indirect damage that may arise from the purchase of products.
The products offered by Château Mauvinon comply with current French legislation and standards.
Château Mauvinon disclaims all responsibility for the content of sites to which hyperlinks may be linked from its own site.
Château Mauvinon is not responsible for accidents that occur as a result of the use of items that customers cannot use or that they put in the hands of children or persons who are not responsible.
These general terms of sale and prices are expressly agreed and accepted by the buyer, who declares and acknowledges having a perfect knowledge of them, and renounces, therefore, to rely on any contradictory document and, in particular, its own general conditions of purchase, the act of purchase implying acceptance of these general conditions of sale.
The customer, who places an order through the e-shop of Château Mauvinon, accepts to be requested via the email. Château Mauvinon may send commercial offers to him by e-mail. The Château Mauvinon e-shop will ensure that the customer can, at the end of each message, oppose this type of solicitation. In addition, the customer may make a request by post to be no longer requested, written request that he will address to Château Mauvinon, 217, Mauvinon, 3333à Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens.
